Blaire’s favourite day of the week,

This is when she gets to visit her friends, who are all different and unique.

She has so much fun when she goes to preschool.

She learns so many things that are pretty cool.

Every friend is special and loved by Blaire.

As long as they too are friendly and show they care,

She likes her friends for sharing their toys or their books,

She doesn't mind who they are or how they look.

Blaire and her friends come from a range of places,

Bring diverse cultures, traditions, and races.

Languages, hairstyles, clothing, and food are so wide,

A learning journey with fun and new things to guide.

In Gaelic tones, Blaire says "hello" with cheer,

Yuri shares "Kon'nichiwa," Japan's greeting clear.

When Omari says hello, his Swahili accent can be heard.

Rahul speaks Hindi; in India, “Hailo” is the word.

Blaire is from Scotland, and she has freckles and red hair.

Yuri is Japanese, and her black silky hairstyle looks as light as air.

Omari, her African friend, has a bold and proud afro.

While their Indian friend, Rahul, keeps his hair neatly below.

Today they dressed up, Blaire in her tartan gown, so fine.

Yuri danced in a blue kimono, a sight divine.

Omari shines in dashiki, with colours that are vibrant and bold.

Rahul wears a crisp blue shirt- a traditional story to be told.

When playtime arrived, Blaire chose tug-of-war.

Yuri kicked in the air, giving a true martial arts roar.

Omari’s marble game is what the friends then played.

Next, they played hopscotch; on one leg, Rahul swayed.

Blaire enjoys haggis, a meat pudding, for lunch.

Yuri munches on a bowl of broth and noodles- a tasty bunch.

Omari brings jambalaya, a meat-and-rice dish.

Rahul has a sweet-smelling curry made with fish.

The friends want to play some music next,

Blaire chooses a bagpipe song, music to the air.

Yuri strings the koto with utmost care.

Omari’s choice is the djembe drums’ beat.

Rahul likes to play the bansuri, creating a classic flute tune sweet.

While the friends listened to the music,

Blaire began to move in a highland dance.

Yuri prances with a floral fan, a dance to embrace.

Omari claps and jumps in his traditional dance style.

Rahul, with some Bollywood moves, is wearing a big smile.

The day's end draws near, Blaire says goodbye,

Parents arrive as the sun paints the sky.

Home they go, for dinner, prayer, or bath,

In bubbly foam, they share a laugh.

Blaire was excited for tomorrow, eager to learn and play,

She loves her friends in their own unique way.

It doesn’t matter what they wear or eat or, how they dance or play,

All friends are special at the end of the day.
