One cool morning, a tiny kitten woke up.
“Brrr… I’m chilly,” she said, shivering a little.
She rubbed her tiny paws together…
Tap… tap…
She tried to curl her tail around herself…
but still—brrr!
The kitten looked around.
The floor felt cold.
The air felt cold.
She took a few slow steps.
Step… step… step…
Then she stopped.
“Oh!” she said softly.
On the floor, near the window,
there was a bright, warm patch of sunlight.
Golden… soft… and glowing.
The kitten tilted her head.
“What is that warm spot?” she wondered.
She walked closer.
Step… step…
She put one paw into the light.
“Oh!” she smiled.
“Warm!”
She stepped in with both paws…
then sat down.
“Ahh… so warm!” she purred.
She stretched her little legs…
Wiggled her toes…
Her whiskers twitched happily.
She rolled onto her side…
then onto her back!
“Meow…” she yawned softly.
The warm sun hugged her gently.
Soon, the kitten curled up into a tiny ball.
Soft… cozy… warm…
Her eyes slowly closed.
She fell asleep with a happy little smile.
