One sunny day, a little monkey was jumping in a tall tree.
Jump! Jump!
Swing! Swing!
“Wheee!” he laughed.

He hung upside down…
scratched his head…
and made funny faces at the leaves.
“Look at me!” he giggled.

He bounced on a branch.
Boing! Boing!
Then—
SNAP!
“Oh!” said the monkey.
The branch broke!

A nest slipped- tilt- tilt and fell down gently.
Plop!!

The monkey climbed down quickly.
Step… step… step…
“Oh no!” the monkey gasped.
Inside the nest were a mama bird and its tiny baby birds.
“Chirp! Chirp!” the baby birds cried loudly.
“ My nest !” Mama bird said.
She looked worried.

“I’m sorry! I broke the branch” he said softly.
Mama Bird looked at her babies.
They were safe—but scared.
“Don’t worry,” said the monkey.
“I will help fixing the nest!”

He looked around.
Twigs here… leaves there…
He picked them up.
Pick… pick… pick…
Mama Bird brought soft leaves.

Flap… flap…
They worked together.
Twist… tuck… press…
Oops! A twig fell.

The monkey tried again.
Careful… careful…
This time, it stayed!
Mama Bird shaped the nest.
Round… soft… strong…
The monkey climbed the tree.
Step… step… step…
He placed the nest on a strong branch.
Gently… very gently…

Mama Bird brought her babies.
One by one—
“Chirp… chirp…”
She tucked them inside.

Safe and cozy again.
Mama Bird smiled.

“Thank you, little monkey,” she said.
The monkey smiled too.
“I will jump more carefully,” he said.
The baby birds chirped happily.
“Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!”
The monkey clapped.
Clap! Clap!
Then he did a tiny happy dance—
wiggle! hop!
The tree felt calm again.
Everyone was safe.
Everyone was happy.
Moral: When we make a mistake, we can help to fix it.
