One quiet evening, a little monkey sat on a tree branch.
He looked up at the sky.
“Twinkle… twinkle… so many stars!” he smiled.
He swung his tail…
and scratched his head…
and made funny faces at the stars.
Suddenly—
blink… blink…
A tiny light flew past him.
“Oh!” said the monkey.
“What is that?”
It was a little firefly!
Blink… blink…
It glowed softly in the dark.
“You are so small,” the monkey said.
The firefly blinked again—hello!
Soon… the sky grew darker.
The forest became very quiet.
The monkey climbed down.
Step… step… step…
But then—he stopped.
“Oh no…” he said.
“I can’t see my home!”
The trees looked the same.
The path was dark.
The monkey felt a little scared.
Just then—
Blink… blink…
The tiny firefly came back.
It glowed a little brighter.
Then it flew ahead… slowly.
Blink… blink…
“Come,” it seemed to say.
The monkey followed.
Step… step… step…
Over roots… past leaves… through the quiet trees…
Blink… blink…
The firefly showed the way.
At last—there it is!
“My home!” the monkey clapped happily.
Safe and snug again.
“Thank you, little light,” he smiled.
Blink… blink…
The firefly danced in the air
...and flew away into the night.
The monkey looked at the sky again.
“Small… but so bright,” he whispered.
