Once upon a time, there was a little turtle named Timo.

Timo had a very big dream. He wanted to climb to the very top of the big green hill.

“I want to go up there,” he said with a big, happy smile.

The hill looked big.

Timo took a deep breath.

“I can do it,” he said softly.

He started his journey.

Step… step…

On the way, a rabbit hopped by.

“Where are you going?” asked the rabbit.

“To the top of the hill,” said Timo.

The rabbit laughed.

“You are too slow! You’ll never make it!” he said, and hopped away.

Timo felt a little sad for a moment, but then he took a deep breath and whispered to himself:

"I can do it, and I will climb!"

He took another step.

Step… step…

Soon, a deer bounded by. Boing, boing!

The deer looked down and asked-

“Where are you going?”

“To the top of the hill,” said Timo.

The deer laughed.

“You are too slow for this big hill” she said, and ran away.

Timo paused for a moment.

Then he said quietly,

“I am steady. I can do it.”

And he kept going.

Step… step…

A squirrel ran along a branch.

Zoom,zoom!

“Where are you going?” it asked.

“To the top of the hill,” said Timo.

The squirrel giggled.

“You are too slow. You will take forever!” it said.

Timo smiled.

“That’s okay,” he said.

He held his head high and whispered : “I will still go.”

He walked on. He was just enjoying the day.

Step… step…

Soon, Timo saw a tiny waterfall.

Water trickled down.

Drip… drip…

“It’s pretty,” he said.

He walked beside it.

Then he saw little flowers.

They swayed gently.

“Hello,” he said.

Butterflies fluttered nearby.

Flap… flap…

Timo watched them happily.

He crossed soft green grass.

It tickled his feet.

“Hee hee!” he laughed.

The journey felt calm.

Not fast… not hard…

Slow… steady… peaceful…

Timo did not feel tired.

He was enjoying every step.

He was moving slowly, he saw all the magic!

Step… step…

Step… step…

After a long time…

Timo reached the top of the hill.

“Oh!” he said.

The world looked wide and bright.

He saw a river shining in the distance.

He saw trees and forests stretching far away.

He saw birds flying close to the clouds.

Flap… flap…

The breeze touched his face.

“It feels nice,” he smiled.

Timo looked down at the path he had taken.

“I came all this way,” he said proudly.

“I took little steps… and I did it.”

He sat quietly.

Happy… calm… and strong.

Slow and steady is the perfect way to see the world.

Moral: Small steps, taken with confidence, can take you to big places.
