Want to learn how to draw a bee? Monkey Pen’s step-by-step guide provides you simple ideas and tricks to create a bee art. Come on, let’s explore the basic steps:
Step 1: First draw the antennae for the bee. Use curved lines that run parallel to each other to create the antennae. On top of them, add a tiny oval. Between those antennae, draw spikes that join them.

Step 2: From the left antenna, draw a big C with spikes for the head.

Step 3: Complete the head using a slanting ‘C on the right side.

Step 4: Beside the left antenna, draw a medium curve with few spikes.

Step 5: Right below, draw a hook like design facing the left to create the wing.

Step 6: From the hook end, draw a big curve, that joins almost near the hook beginning. Now this looks like a heart design from a particular angle and B from another angle. This forms the bee’s wing.

Step 7: Below its wing, draw a small half-moon shape to create its body.

Step 8: Beside it, draw one of its front legs using narrow segments followed by a tubular design with stripes.

Step 9: Add the other front leg too. From the first leg, create few spikes, then draw the second leg. (Refer to step 8)

Step 10: Draw the hind leg too using narrow segments alone. (Refer to step 8)

Step 11: Add one more segment and two tiny segments to complete the hind leg.

Step 12: Draw the back of the bee with a narrow, big ‘U’.

Step 13: Draw cross lines between the body to show the segments.

Step 14: Keep adding lines till the end. At the extreme end, draw a small, narrow ‘V’.

Step 15: Give tiny dashes inside the body and on the back, between those lines.

Step 16: Add one more leg too near the second front leg. (Refer to step 8).

Step 17: Include one tiny leg as well. (Refer to step 8)

Step 18: Draw one leg right below the hind leg at the back. (Refer to step 8)

Step 19: Create one more wing for the bee. Draw a narrow ‘U’ over the body top for the wing.

Step 20: Give patterns inside the first, larger wing using deep, narrow ‘U’ and few curvy lines beside.

Step 21: Provide patterns for the other wing too. i.e. smaller wing. (Refer to step 20)

Step 22: Draw its eyes. Add a small, slanting oval. Create two tiny circles, one like a dot, other a bit larger. Leaving those circles, fill the remaining portion inside the eye.

Step 23: A wonderful bee drawing is ready.
