How to Draw a Fly – Simple Insect Sketch Activity for Kids



Tiny wings and round eyes come together as kids create a fly drawing using easy lines and fun shapes.

Step 1: Draw two small bent front legs.

Step 2: Add a curved line over them to start the body.

Step 3: Draw a large round shape for the middle body section.

Step 4: Add two circles for the head and the big eye.

Step 5: Draw a long oval shape for the top wing.

Step 6: Add a curved line under the wing to begin the back body section.

Step 7: Complete the rounded back part of the body.

Step 8: Draw the second upper wing and one long back leg.

Step 9: Add another long leg under the body.

Step 10: Draw the third leg at the back.

Step 11: Add the last leg near the front underside.

Step 12: Draw curved stripe lines across the back body.

Step 13: Add long curved vein lines inside the front wing.

Step 14: Draw vein lines inside the top back wing.

Step 15: Add small, short hair lines around the head and body.

Step 16: Color the big eyes in black, leaving small white highlights.

Step 17: Your fly drawing is ready. Color it as you wish and enjoy.
