How to Draw Gothic Architecture – Easy Step-by-Step Building Drawing for Kids

Step 1: Start with a horizontal line for the base.

Step 2: Add two short towers to the corners of the base.

Step 3: Include two more towers on each side.

Step 4: Tall towers are drawn above them.

Step 5: Construct two small pillars between the towers.

Step 6: Draw a small pointed arch in the centre, connecting the pillars.

Step 7: Make another set of arches below the first one.

Step 8: Add two rectangle doors.

Step 9: A pointed roof is designed above the entrance.

Step 10: Draw roof lines behind and above the roof.

Step 11: Draw a medium circle above the roof line. Also create a pointed arch above the circle.

Step 12: Another circle is drawn inside the medium circle. On top of the outer circle, a wide ""V"-shaped curve is made.

Step 13: Inside the circle, draw a floral pattern.

Step 14: Draw small circles for the flower’s centre.

Step 15: Add the petals for the flower design.

Step 16: Construct the top triangular roof with an outer thick layer made of tiny triangles. A cross is drawn on top of it.

Step 17: Below the roof, add horizontal bands.

Step 18: Don't forget to add an arched window above the horizontal bands.

Step 19: Draw wide rectangular steps below the entrance.

Step 20: Show the ground surface using horizontal lines on both sides.

Step 21: Beside the tall pillars, add two more pillars.

Step 22: Include two more pillars slightly away from the previous ones.

Step 23: Build another set of pillars on top of each pillar next to the building.

Step 24: Stack a few layers above the inner pillars and build a pointed spire on top of each pillar.

Step 25: Similarly, layers and spires are formed on the outer pillars too.

Step 26: Build medium pillars in the extreme corners.

Step 27: C onnect each tall outer and inner pillar with pointed roof lines.

Step 28: Above each roof, make a narrow triangle-shaped portion with a spire on top of it.

Step 29: Add long vertical lines to form a triangle shape inside each outer triangle.

Step 30: Connect the central tower to the smallest pillars using sloping lines.

Step 31: Add triangular roofs above the sloping lines beside the smallest pillars.

Step 32: Design many arch-shaped windows under each roof. 

Step 33: Provide the window details on both sides.

Step 34: Arch-shaped bands are made under the upper windows and floral design.

Step 35: Above each window and main entrance, draw a small cross.

Step 36: Grand gothic architecture is complete.
