How to Draw a Jacket – Clothing Drawing for Kids

Here is an easy step-by-step guide on how to draw a jacket.

Step 1: Draw an oval shape that is incomplete. This is the neck portion of the jacket.

Step 2: In the space left, add the alphabet V.

Step 3: Add a half oval above V, which is a little bumpy.

Step 4: On the left side, draw square braces in a sloping direction. This is the left arm of the jacket.

Step 5: Cover the braces using the same type of braces on the opposite side.

Step 6: Add a rectangular knob-like shape below that joins braces on both sides. This is a sleeve.

Step 7: Include the right arm of the jacket using square braces followed by a half-square.

Step 8: Draw the body again with square braces followed by a straight line in the horizontal direction.

Step 9: Complete the body by extending the straight line, then square braces above in a vertical direction.

Step 10: Add sleeve openings for both arms and give armholes and details for the neck portion.

Step 11: From the oval at the neck, draw two vertical lines that run parallel to each other.

Step 12: Within the V at the neck, draw a vertical line, then a horizontal line, followed by an inclined line. This looks like a triangle.

Step 13: Just below the big V, include a little smaller V, then a zip followed by two parallel lines in a vertical direction

Step 14: Add parallel lined strips on either side of the small V at the neckline.

Step 15: Add a full line horizontally below, within the outline joining the braces on either side.

Step 16: On the right and left side body of the jacket, give a rectangle shape in a vertical direction with a tiny circle inside.

Step 17: Draw horizontal stripes, one below the other, joining the braces on each side.

Step 18: Also give horizontal lines for the sleeves and neck design too (within the triangle).

Step 19: Include thin stripes at the sleeve opening and within the jacket outline.

Step 20: Show thread or fur on the jacket using tiny dashes in a vertical direction, arranged both up and down on the line.

Step 21: A cozy jacket drawing is completed.
