Meet one of the ocean's gentlest giants as Monkey Pen shows you how to draw a manatee with easy shapes and step-by-step guidance.

Step 1: Draw a tiny curve to form the shape of the manatee's snout.

Step 2: Create a broad, curving line over the snout. This will form the upper part of the head.

Step 3: Draw another curving line starting from the head until you reach its back.

Step 4: Draw a curving line beneath the head to start the lower body.

Step 5: Draw the initial front flipper just below the body as shown in the image.

Step 6: Draw the second front flipper close to the centre of the body.

Step 7: Create a narrow curving line in the back of the body and another small curving line to begin the tail.

Step 8: Draw the wide, flat round like shape for the tail flipper.

Step 9: Add the eyebrows, the mouth, the nose, and the whisker dots on the face. Also, draw a small curving line to complete the facial structure.

Step 10: Create curved wrinkle lines on the body and neck.

Step 11: Draw tiny oval marks along the back of the manatee.

Step 12: Draw the eyes, darken the eyeballs, and finish the facial details.

Step 13: Draw a few stones on the seabed below the manatee.

Step 14: Draw a wavy line that will create the seabed.

Step 15: Create sea plants and some bubbles surrounding the manatee.

Step 16: Place another sea plant to one side, like in the image given.

Step 17: Create more bubbles around the manatee.

Step 18: You've completed your drawing of a manatee. Now try coloring it and see the magic!
