How to Draw a Treasure Chest – Easy Step-by-Step Pirate Drawing for Kids

Step 1: Draw a slanted rectangular shape for the top of the chest.

Step 2: To show the thickness underneath the lid, add straight lines as shown in the image.

Step 3: Draw the tiny hanging lock in the middle as in the image.

Step 4: Draw the closed lock and add an open keyhole.

Step 5: Draw two vertical lines underneath the lid on both its ends.

Step 6: Add the vertical lines along the sides of the chest on the left side.

Step 7: Make sure you draw the edge of the bottom of the chest for its closed outline.

Step 8: Insert the bottom strip of the base in front of the chest.

Step 9: Expand the base strip all the way around the sides.

Step 10: Draw two horizontal planks of wood lines along the front with straight lines.

Step 11: Put a handle that is curved on the left side, as in the image.

Step 12: Finish the handle on the side with tiny specifics.

Step 13: Draw the border across the top opening.

Step 14: Add some treasure designs within the chest.

Step 15: Draw further treasure pieces to complete the chest.

Step 16: Draw the lid upwards with a small space left at its centre.

Step 17: Attach the inside border of the lid that is open.

Step 18: Attach the clasp that is small on one side of the lid.

Step 19: Make the hole for the clasp.

Step 20: Draw the initial curving band on the lid's back.

Step 21: Add further curving bands across the lid.

Step 22: Draw the wide curving edge along the top side of the lid.

Step 23: Finish the right side that runs along the top of your lid.

Step 24: Draw your top-most line on the lid.

Step 25: Draw small lines to the bands of the lid.

Step 26: Draw horizontal plank lines within the lid.

Step 27: Add interior lid lines and side detail.

Step 28: Apply small round nail dots on the bands on the lids.

Step 29: Draw more lines across the jewels as well as coins.

Step 30: The treasure chest drawing is completed. Now color your treasure as you wish!
