How to Draw a Willow Tree – Easy Step-by-Step Tree Drawing for Kids

Step 1: Draw a few short, curved lines to begin the first branch.

Step 2: Add more curved lines to make the branch thicker and forked.

Step 3: Extend two long, curved lines towards the right.

Step 4: Draw a tall, curved branch rising from the centre.

Step 5: Extend a wavy line starting from the end of the first branch that you have drawn just now to form the second branch of the tree.

Step 6: Draw a small branch with a rounded, bending top on the right.

Step 7: Add a curved branch at the top of the tree.

Step 8: Draw a smaller, drooping branch on the upper-right side.

Step 9: Extend a wavy line downward from the right branch.

Step 10: Draw the left curved branch downwards from the centre.

Step 11: Extend a wavy line downward to form the inner side of the tree.

Step 12: Add curved root lines at the bottom of the trunk.

Step 13: Draw more spreading roots along the base of the tree.

Step 14: Complete the roots on the right side of the trunk.

Step 15: Draw several long, slightly curved lines hanging from the left branches.

Step 16: Add more drooping lines from the middle and right branches.

Step 17: Draw short, wavy lines inside the trunk and branches to create the bark texture.

Step 18: Add a row of narrow leaves to the first hanging twig on the left as shown in the image.

Step 19: Draw leaves along more of the hanging twigs on the left side.

Step 20: Add more leafy twigs around the upper-left and middle branches.

Step 21: Draw rows of narrow leaves hanging from the centre branches.

Step 22: Add more leafy twigs to the right side of the tree.

Step 23: Draw a few small rocks near the base of the tree.

Step 24: Add a small tuft of grass beside the left side of the trunk.

Step 25: Draw another tuft of grass and a ground line on the right side.

Step 26: Erase any unnecessary lines and colour your willow tree to complete the drawing. Now try coloring it!
