How to Draw a Yoga Pose – Easy Healthy Activity Drawing for Kids

This yoga pose drawing lesson turns a full-body figure into a simple, guided sketching experience that beginners can actually follow with ease. You start with basic shapes to build the head and body, then gradually construct the pose step by step adding arms, legs, and posture details that capture the flow of a yoga position without feeling complex or intimidating. Each stage is shown visually so kids can keep up comfortably. It also includes downloadable PDF worksheets you can print and practice repeatedly, making it easy to refine proportions and get more confident with figure drawing.

Learn to draw a yoga pose step by step with the help of the Monkey Pen guide.

Step 1: First draw a girl having a spiky hairline.

Step 2: Draw the round face below.

Step 3: Add a rounded head on top, above the hairline.

Step 4: Include the right and left ears using oval shapes.

Step 5: Show hair on the head using a rounded curve with a tiny bend in the middle.

Step 6: Add a hairband to tie the hair at the back.

Step 7: Create a short ponytail using soft curves.

Step 8: Extend the curve below to show the hair for making a ponytail.

Step 9: Complete the ponytail using a curved line that lies behind the head.

Step 10: Show the layers of the ponytail using sharp spikes.

Step 11: Draw tiny lines vertically and horizontally to indicate the hair on the front and at the back.

Step 12: Add eyebrow, inner ear, nose and mouth.

Step 13: Draw the neck using tiny curves lying opposite to each other.

Step 14: Draw the right, narrow shoulder that looks like F and include the neckline of the dress.

Step 15: Add the left shoulder and the left neckline too.

Step 16: Draw the right arm that looks like rounded square braces.

Step 17: Create the left arm, too.

Step 18: Draw the right hand with fingers.

Step 19: Draw the left hand too.

Step 20: Give a T-shirt or top for the girl who appears like an open box.

Step 21: Draw the left leg below.

Step 22: Draw the right leg that is folded in a V shape.

Step 23: Add ‘7’ above it, to complete the right leg.

Step 24: Draw 7 twice, one below the other, and join the bottom ends. This is the right foot.

Step 25: Add the left feet too.

Step 26: Define the waistline of the pants using a wide line that is gently curved. On the right pant leg, add a tiny 'v' for the leg opening.

Step 27: Add tiny details on the pants, down the waist, and near the ankle opening at the feet.

Step 28: Include toes by providing tiny vertical lines.

Step 29: Draw the closed eyes with a small, wide curve, along with eyelashes.

Step 30: A steady yoga pose drawing is over.
