How to Draw a Hamster – Step-by-Step Animal Drawing for Kids

Follow these easy drawing steps to create a busy little hamster, complete with its big teeth and flat tail.
Step 1: Draw a tiny hair tuft at the very top of the head of the hamster.
Step 2: Attach two large, round ears on either side of your fur using semi circles as in the image.
Step 3: Draw from the right side. Curving downwards from the ear and adding a soft cheek.
Step 4: The right-hand side should be drawn. It will curve downwards from the ear. Do this with a slight, jagged, furry edge.
Step 5: Attach the fluffy top fur and chin, linking the sides of the head.
Step 6: Draw the inner ear features within the ears to complete the head form.
Step 7: Draw 2 tiny curves for closed eyes. Add the tiny triangle nose and a simple smile just below it.
Step 8: From the side facing the head, draw a smooth, long curve downward that forms the hamster's back and sides.
Step 9: Draw an inverted line along the lower front to show the tummy. Then draw a small paw on the bottom, with two tiny toe bumps (and an incredibly short curve at the bottom of the back to begin the area of the rear foot).
Step 10: Draw a smooth, curving line along the bottom to connect the body to the front paw. Shape the lower edge of the hamster.
Step 11: On the left, you will draw a curving line to mark the front leg. Then, add another paw on the bottom with tiny toe bumps.
Step 12: Draw a tiny arm across your chest, with a rounded paw on the end, as if the hamster holds its hands tightly.
Step 13: Put both arms in the left place, placing the paws on the chest, bending the chest inwards as if it's holding something.
Step 14: Create a small, elongated tail at the back of the body near the bottom.
Step 15: Make 3 whisker lines across each cheek. Add a few small lines along the toes and paws for details, and draw an extended curved line along the stomach.
Step 16: Create two huge circle-like circles on the face to make eyes.
Step 17: Make smaller circles within each eye to highlight the highlights, and then fill in the rest of the eyes with white highlights.
Step 18: Darken the eyes and close the eyes with a clean finish, then examine the outline and clean any lines that are left to finish the hamster.
