Sophie and Josh have a new friend. And she is a special friend. Her name is Lexa. She is a beautiful tiger and a special tiger. She can become invisible!

Today, Sophie and Josh want their friend Tom to see Lexa. The three of them are walking down the street to Tom’s house. They go to his front porch and knock on his door: knock, knock, knock.

Tom opens his front door. “Hi Sophie and Josh,” says Tom. He opens the door so they can come in. He tries to close the door and hears a roar. A voice says, “You pinched my tail!”

“What is that?” asks Tom. “That’s our new friend, Lexa,” answers Josh. “She’s a tiger,” says Sophie. “But she is invisible right now.” Just then, Lexa appears. Tom is amazed!

“I’m sorry about your tail, Lexa,” says Tom. “It’s okay,” says Lexa. “You are a very beautiful tiger,” says Tom. “Thank you,” says Lexa. “But you must see my friend, Bella. She is really beautiful!”

Sophie, Josh, and Tom look at each other. “Who is Bella?” asks Sophie. “Jump on my back, and I’ll show you!” says Lexa. “What?” the three friends all say at the same time.

“Yes,” says Lexa. “Sit on my back and we’ll go for a magic tiger ride!” So the three friends sit on Lexa’s back. Suddenly they all turn invisible, and now they fly out through the front door!

Up above the trees!  Up above the houses! Up to the clouds, they fly on Lexa’s back. Where are they going? They are going to visit Bella the Elegant Elephant!

Now Lexa begins to come down from the clouds. Now they are flying over the trees. Now they have come to a huge tree. They land in front of the tree. It has a front door. This is Bella’s house.

Lexa knocks on Bella’s front door: knock, knock, and knock. Bella opens her front door, but she does not see anyone. So she closes her door and goes back inside!

Lexa knocks again: knock, knock, knock. Bella opens the door again and says, “Who is there?” “It’s me, Bella,” says Lexa. “Is that you, Lexa?” asks Bella. “I cannot see you!”

“Oh, sorry,” says Lexa. “I forgot: we’re all invisible.” “We?” asks Bella. “Who is ‘we’?”  Just then Lexa makes all of them appear.  “My goodness,” says Bella.  “You surprised me!”

“These are my friends,” says Lexa.  “Sophie, Josh, and Tom. And this is Bella.” “Well, hello there,” says Bella. “Please come in. I can put on the kettle and make us a nice cup of tea.”

Bella’s house is very elegant- almost as elegant as she is! They all sit down and enjoy their tea. “I think you are a little sad today, Bella,” says Lexa. “What is going on?”

Bella has a tear in her eye. She pulls out a handkerchief and wipes her eyes. Then she wipes the end of her long trunk. “I have a problem,” she says. “Banana peels,” she sobs.

“Banana peels?” asks Lexa.  “Yes,” answers Bella.  “I try to keep my house clean and my garden tidy. But every day I find banana peels in my garden!”

Suddenly, Sophie stands up. She is very angry. “Baba!” she says.  “Who?” asks Bella. “Baba is our friend, but he is a naughty monkey.  I can fix this problem!”

Sophie goes outside, and the others follow her. She looks up into the tree and shouts, “Baba!” Plop!  Baba falls to the ground. “Why are you dropping banana peels again?”

Baba says he is sorry. He picks up all the banana peels from around Bella’s house. Now Baba and Bella are friends. He helps Bella keep her garden clean and safe from banana peels!
