The farm festival is tonight, and all of the animals are excited.

They’ve got their costumes ready.

I am so glad to be invited.

Up first on the stage is a parade of 10 pigs with headgear of every style and hue.

From baseball caps to bucket hats in yellow, red, pink, and bubblegum blue.

Then 9 twirling hens in twinkling tutu’s left a trail of fluffy feathers galore.

Clucking away as they perform leaps and spins on the funky dance floor.

And when 8 laughing llamas dressed as caterpillar come to the stage to join in on the tunes,

They slip on all the feathers and end up on the ground like a heap of baboons.

7 bunnies giggled wildly, while 6 horses nervously neighed.

“Shh, quiet! We don’t want to wake the farmer,” she said, looking very afraid.

Next to the stage, 5 sheep dressed as ducks…

Wait… or was it ducks dressed as sheep?

Oh no, what a muck!

After 4 cows in numbered striped shirts kick around a ball,

Gooooooal”, they moo, cheer, and call.

3 goats then stole the humans’ shirts and welly boots.

And he jumped in the biggest muddy puddle, ruining all of the suits.

Suddenly, a noise came from outside of the barn, and the farm animals watched as two lights switched on.

Not long after, one furious farmer swung open the doors.

To find that all of the noise had gone!

There were no animals to be seen out of place.

“Maybe I dreamt it all?” the farmer said as he stumbled back up to bed, scratching the hair on his face.
