One sunny morning, Mama stood in the little garden behind the house.

Green leaves swayed softly.

Tiny tomatoes glowed red.

Carrots peeked out of the soil.

Mama smiled.

“Our garden is ready,” she said.

Little Ava clapped happily.

“Can we pick the vegetables?”

“Yes,” Mama laughed.

Papa came with a basket.

Together, the family worked in the garden.

Ava picked tomatoes carefully.

Plop… plop…

Papa pulled out carrots from the soil.

Pull… pull…

Little Ben carried peas in a tiny bowl.

Mama gathered herbs with a smile.

Soon, the basket was full.

Fresh vegetables…

bright colors…

and happy faces.

Back inside, Mama washed the vegetables.

Splash… splash…

She chopped carrots…

stirred tomatoes…

and cooked a warm, yummy soup.

Sniff… sniff…

The whole house smelled delicious.

When the soup was ready, Mama placed it on the table.

Then she smiled and called,

“Who would like to share this yummy supper?”

“I do!” laughed Ava.

Mama handed her a little bowl.

“This bowl is for helping plant the seeds,” she said.

Ava smiled proudly.

“I planted tiny seeds!”

Papa came next.

“And this bowl is for watering the plants every morning,” Mama said.

Papa laughed.

“I did splash a lot of water!”

Little Ben came running.

“And this bowl is for pulling tiny weeds,” Mama said gently.

Ben giggled.

“The weeds tickled my fingers!”

Then Mama sat down too.

“What about you?” asked Ava.

Mama smiled softly.

“I cared for the garden every day,” she said.

“So I will share supper with all of you.”

Everyone sat together at the table.

Warm soup…

soft bread…

happy smiles…

Outside, the garden rested quietly in the evening breeze.

Inside, the family ate together.

“Our food grew with love,” Mama said softly.

“And teamwork,” Papa smiled.

Ava took a happy bite.

“Mmm,” she said.

“Helping tastes yummy.”

Everyone laughed.

And the little home felt warm and full of joy.

Moral: When everyone helps together, the reward becomes even more special.
