One evening, a little puppy named Coco was playing outside his house.

He chased a butterfly.

Flutter… flutter…

“Wait!” Coco barked happily.

He ran a little farther…

and a little farther…

Soon, the butterfly flew away.

Coco stopped.

He looked around.

The houses looked different.

The road felt quiet.

“Oh…” Coco said softly.

“Where is my home?”

Coco walked slowly.

He sniffed the ground.

Sniff… sniff…

He saw tall trees…a big gate…a long road…

Everything felt new.

Coco felt a little scared.

He sat down.

“Woof…” he whispered.

Just then, a gentle breeze blew.

Whoosh…

Coco lifted his head.

He smelled something familiar.

Sniff… sniff…

“It smells like home,” he said.

Coco followed the smell.

Step by step…

He walked past a small park.

He heard children laughing.

He kept going.

Then he saw a kind old man.

“Oh!” said the man.

“Are you lost, little one?”

Coco wagged his tail slowly.

The man knelt down.

“Let’s find your home,” he said softly.

He looked at Coco’s collar.

There was a small tag.

The man smiled.

“I know where to go.”

He gently picked up Coco.

They walked together.

Soon, they reached a house.

The door was open.

Coco barked loudly.

His family heard the coco’s bark and came out.

“Coco!” they cried.

They ran to him.

“Oh, we were looking for you!” said Mama.

Coco wagged his tail fast.

“I found my way back,” he seemed to say.

The kind man smiled.

“Thank you,” they said.

Coco licked the man’s hand.

Lick!

“Good puppy,” the man said.

Coco jumped to papa’s hand

Coco felt warm and safe again.

That night, he slept close to his family.

No more wandering far.

Only happy dreams.

Moral: Even when we feel lost, kindness and care help us find our way home.
