One bright morning, a little monkey was playing in the forest.
He had a round, bouncy ball.
“Let’s play!” he laughed.
Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!
The ball went up… and down… and up again!

The monkey jumped and clapped.
“This is fun!” he said.
He bounced the ball higher.
Bounce! Bounce!
But this time—
Oops!
The ball went too far.

It hit a little bird sitting on a branch.
“Oh!” said the bird.
The ball fell to the ground.
The monkey froze.
“Oh no…” he whispered.

He looked at the bird.
She looked surprised.
The monkey’s smile went away.
He walked slowly to the tree.
Step… step…

“I didn’t see you there,” he said softly.
“I’m sorry.”
The little bird looked at him.
The monkey’s eyes were gentle.
He looked worried.

The bird smiled kindly.
“That’s okay,” she said.
“It was an accident.”
The monkey felt a little better.

“Are you hurt?” he asked.
The bird shook her head.
“No, I’m fine,” she said.
The monkey picked up his ball.
“I will be more careful,” he said.
The bird hopped down.
“Can I play with you?” she asked.
The monkey smiled.
“Yes!”

This time, he rolled the ball slowly.
Tap… tap… tap…
The bird pushed it back.
Tap… tap…
They played gently together.
They laughed.
They shared the game.

The monkey felt warm inside.
He was happy.
“Playing together is nicer,” he said.
The bird chirped.
“Yes, it is!”
And from that day on,
the monkey always played with care.
Moral: It is brave and kind to say sorry when we make mistakes.
