One night, a little girl lay in her bed.
Her eyes were open.
“I can’t sleep,” she whispered.
She looked out the window.
The sky was dark and quiet.
A soft cloud floated slowly.
“Hello,” said the girl.
The cloud drifted closer…closer…
It slipped gently into the room.
“Shhh… I will help you to sleep,” it whispered.
The cloud floated above her bed…slow… soft…
It became a bunny…then a star…then a soft cloud boat.
“Breathe with me,” it said.
In…out…
In…out…
The girl followed slowly.
“Let’s count,” said the cloud.
“One…”
“Two…”
“Three…”
The little girl yawned.
The cloud moved gently…soft… slow…
“Four…”
“Five…”
“Six…”
Her eyes grew heavy and began to close.
The stars twinkled softly.
The little girl smiled and fell asleep.
The cloud drifted back out the window.
“Good night,” whispered the stars.
